The Curls Club x Penny Whittingham collaboration means that the routine has been trialled and tested by Penny herself, to bring you the best results. So whether you want to use the products separately or together as detailed in Penny's wash routine, we are sure you will love them!

STEP 1. Imbue Curl Liberating Shampoo

The first step to every single one of my washdays is to cleanse my hair and scalp. This shampoo cleanses my hair whilst not stripping it of it's natural oils. It also makes my hair more manageable which means conditioning and detangling takes less time than If I were to use a more stripping shampoo. Since we are into the colder months now, it’s really important that our hair does not dry out. You can use this shampoo once or multiple times based on your cleansing-moisturising preference.

After wetting my hair, I apply the shampoo directly to my scalp and begin slowly massaging my scalp until I see a lather form. I use my fingertips first, before going in with my OSO Curly scalp brush- which helps to lift product build up from my scalp. I then rinse out of my hair with the running water.

STEP 2. Nylah Super Botanicals Conditioner

This conditioner will change your life. It’s soooo good! It can be used as a rinse out conditioner or a deep conditioner depending on what mood you’re in. I use it as a half way point between the two.

I like to section my hair into quarters before I start detangling my hair. I start by applying a small amount of the product to my hair and seeing how far it gets me by just finger detangling (believe it or not, you don’t need to use loads of it). After I have loosened my hair up by finger detangling with the conditioner, I then go in with either a brush or wide tooth comb in order to get any knots out that I may have missed. Once all of my hair has been detangled, I leave the conditioner in for ten minutes for a slightly deeper treatment. I then rinse the conditioner out with cool water (to keep the moisture locked in) and I’m left with soft, juicy, defined curls.

STEP 3. Boucleme Intensive Moisture Treatment

So here is where you can adapt this box to your own needs. This product can be used as a deep treatment if your hair is still craving moisture, or you can use it as a leave in conditioner. I personally prefer this product as a leave in conditioner!

I scoop some product up and just start raking it throughout my hair. I don’t really section my hair so much anymore because I like my curls to look quite free and fluffy while still a bit defined. If you prefer your curls to be super defined, I recommend sectioning your hair to apply this product. In order to encourage the “done but undone” look on my curls, I use my denman brush and the finger-coiling method to encourage my hair to curl in a specific way to suit my style. I don’t do my whole head, just certain sections that sometimes need some extra love!

STEP 4. Boucleme Revive 5 Hair Oil

Once I have applied the Boucleme intensive moisture treatment to my hair, I then apply the ‘revive 5 hair oil’. I squirt three to four pumps into my hands, rub my hands together and then scrunch the oil into the ends of my hair to make sure they don’t dry out. This is something I pay particular attention to during the winter months when my hair starts to get a little bit brittle. I love this oil because it is so lightweight! If there is one thing I hate, it’s weighed down hair! This oil helps to seal in moisture as well as adding a glossy effect to my curls.

Once all of the products have been applied to my hair, I wrap my hair in a cotton t-shirt or microfibre towel to dry. Using these materials instead of a normal towel will minimise frizz. Once my hair has been drying for a few hours, I then use my diffuser to finish the drying process. I can then enjoy the rest of my day with juicy, moisturised, defined and soft curls!!!

I hope you guys enjoy my @pennyfroreal box as much as I do! I put a lot of time into deciding what products to put together to form an ultra-moisturising experience. Please experiment with the products as much as you like! My tutorial can be used as a guide for further adventure! The journey is all yours!
